Tasting Notes

Appearance: Amber-ruby in color; clean and luminous with orange and golden highlights.

Nose: Low intensity; it requires several days of aeration to gain detail. A subtle alcoholic edge serves as the foundation for notes of bitter almond, cocoa butter, hazelnuts, and sweet citrus. Nuances of quince, toasted egg yolk and bitter orange marmalade emerge.

Palate: Soft yet showing extreme concentration. Candied and warm; currently somewhat "raw" as it finishes rounding off in the bottle, with immense aging potential. Savory, velvety, and elegant. It features a beautiful expression of old solera, sweet spices, and smoky tones, leading to a very long, spiced finish with a charming "wild" or medicinal hint (rosemary, syrup, garrigue). It should be cellared for many years to allow it to fully polish.
