Winemaking:
All grapes are sourced from the "El Bosque" estate. Manual harvest. Fermentation was carried out in traditional 60-hectoliter oak vats without temperature control. The wine matured for 60 months in used American oak barrels (225L), with two manual gravity rackings performed each year. Traditionally fined with fresh egg whites and bottled unfiltered. A minimum of three years of bottle aging in the winery’s underground cellars was required before release. Limited production of 54,000 bottles.

Tasting Notes
Appearance:
Garnet-ruby with medium depth; clean and free of sediment. Displays
reddish and copper reflections with muted brilliance. Narrow,
orange-toned rim.
Nose:
Medium intensity, complex, and orderly. Deeply serious, though
excessively restrained, it struggles to fully open. A fine patina of
aged wood and stable (pesebre)
supports notes of spices, laurel, and sage, with a faint backdrop of
plant fibers (hemp, wicker) that recedes with aeration. Soft and
seamless, it reveals itself in small increments: old leather, roasted
cocoa, smoky notes, and a hint of high-quality reduced red fruit.
Palate:
Follows the same trajectory as the nose. Tight and dry, with a strong
acidity that feels yet to be fully integrated but augurs a long life in
the bottle. The ensemble is fresh, vivid, and savory, featuring a spicy touch of ripe fruit in liqueur accented by toasted notes. Still very, very young.
Commentary:
A sober Bosconia that is benefiting greatly from these recent years in the bottle. It is beginning to settle, and with a bit more patience and cellaring, it will reach its peak. Although the winery is known for its late releases, an extra period of waiting is always necessary to truly enjoy them. It shows a slower evolution than the 2001 but remains entirely recognizable. A staple wine.
